Did you lose something at ECTC?! We still have our lost and found, so email us at email@example.com and we will try to get it back to you!
Over the ECTC weekend Ben Pachter, Jessica Tran, and Sarah Gilbert took photos of the entire conference! From the opening jam Friday night to load out on Sunday afternoon and everything in between, make sure to check out the Taiko Source’s Facebook page to see them!
We would like to thank everyone who came to ECTC 2018 this year, it was our honor to host! We tried our best to make it an event to remember, and are sure it’s a time we’ll never forget.
Of course there is always room for improvement, and last year’s post conference survey heavily influenced our planning for this year’s conference. If you had a positive experience, or if you have suggestions for us so that we and future organizers can improve on, we would truly appreciate hearing from you! Check your emails, and please fill out the survey by 11:59pm PST on Sunday, February 28th.
Note: If you are using Gmail, check the Promotions tab to find your post-conference survey email. If you don’t see a message from us, look in your Spam folders. If you still can’t find anything, send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
ECTC is coming up in just a few days, and one of our workshop leaders, Kris Bergstrom, has written an essay based of off this year’s theme Unity Through Diversity.
“I was so inspired to hear the theme of the 2018 ECTC, ‘Unity Through Diversity’! This concept feels like the core of our music and all of percussion. It’s the differing timbres of the shime, okedo, nagado, odaiko, kane, and flute, playing at different moments within the bar, that combine to create groove. I was so inspired… I finished an essay I had been struggling with for three years. I publish it here in celebration of ECTC and with the hopes that it encourages even greater diversity within our community.” — Kristofer Bergstrom

We just sent out emails with the lunch order form and need you to respond by Friday February 3rd. If you didn’t get it, check your spam folder. If it isn’t there, contact us at email@example.com !
The East Coast Taiko Conference needs your help! In order to make this jam-packed weekend accessible to everyone – keeping the cost of registration low and the final concert free and open to the public – we rely heavily on donations from our community. We have been incredibly fortunate so far, thanks to the support of our workshop leaders, participants, and conference sponsors, but there is still more to do.
Taiko Tides members have organized a fundraiser on Classy to ensure we meet our funding goals and can make this conference an incredible experience for everyone involved. Please help us by donating today! You can donate to the main fundraising page, or check out our individual pages to learn more about the organizers’ stories and why we have devoted our time (and souls) to ECTC 2018.
For more information, visit: https://give.classy.org/ectc2018
The concert on Saturday Feb. 10th at 8:30pm is FREE for the general public. They MUST reserve a seat online and show their ticket at the door to enter.
We will post the reservation link this Friday at 8pm.
*** ECTC participants are confirmed a seat and DO NOT need to reserve. ***
